    Never seen one with skin like that. Almost like he has a mask one.

      I think it is part of a skin disease that the elephant has.. Kind of vitiligo- the human equivalent…
      Yes, it really does look like a mask..

    Dr. Georgie, I have never SEEN an elephant with that coloration. Fascinating!

      Ah.. they are pretty common sight here in Thrissur and all over south India… But these poor things with such skin coloration might not get a chance to come for the great displays like Thrissur pooram, I think..
